We look at examples from our lives, where we identified ourselves either as a victim or a perpetrator, or other situations where we get caught up in a division between condemning someone as perpetrator and taking pity for the victim.

We examine what can help to heal such divisions in our outer life and deep within us. While learning to acknowledge our pain and anger in the face of traumatic experiences, we also need to develop an understanding of what leads us to identify with the pain of others. This will help us move towards real healing rather than becoming part of a collective polarisation.

We will come to understand how unconscious bonds and deep identifications govern our actions and way of thinking and feeling.
